Rapid Response Fund Awards 63 Organizations

Chicago Beyond’s Rapid Response Fund was initially planned solely for 2020.  However, seeing the impact that the funding made on organizations and communities, $1.7 million in Rapid Response Funds was awarded to 63 organizations in 2021.  The Citizen Weekly spoke with Liz Dozier, CEO of Chicago Beyond, and Candice Washington, founder of Brown Books and Paintbrushes and recipient of the fund, to learn about the power of unrestricted funding.
